Sewing

Today I almost finished the shirt I started yesterday. Only got the cuffs and buttons left to fix. When that is finish I will take the shirtpattern and make a dress from old sheets. If it turns out like I picture in my head I will try to sell it. Cause I really need to clean out my closet and I have so many potential projects in there. And I would really like it if my sewing could make a bit of money. 

I also have this idea about simplifying my closet so I can mix and match more but have less stuff in there than I have now. Dresses are amazing in that perspective. 

It is also very environmentally friendly. If you buy a few high-quality base items that will last longer and reduce a lot of waste that todays fast-fashion makes. Or buy second-hand and upcycle or remake. 

After one week

Today is the one-week point of my vacation. I haven't really done much. Just some laundry and some skincare. I hope to soon go away to either a different country or at least to go to a nice hotel for a long 4 day weekend. 

I also want to make a lot of sewing and hopefully, I get to clean my closet a little. I have a walk-in closet I can not walk into...

Yay

I'm now fully vaccinated. And I'm on vacation. 

More updating

I hope that I soon can do some more updating on here. I have a ton of soap and skincare recipes that I wanna translate and put up here. In the meantime, if you can make do with swedish or perhaps google translate can work, I will put my swedish diy blog here. It has a little of everything relating to skincare, sewing and upcycling. 

But this will be my everyday, this happens in my life, kind of blogg and I will share everything and anything that I'm interested in and what I'm doing in my day. 

Today I slept really long because my cat was sleeping right next to me in bed and it was so nice and comfy. When my cat gets really relaxed she lays on her back and stretches out so she becomes superlong. Then she starts snoring... Sometimes you really need that and I think the kitty knows. 

Writing a story

I have a few stories in my head that need to go done on paper. I will list them here so I remember them. Especially if they are based on dreams. 

One is an epic fantasy sci-fi thingy that spans centuries staring this pale immortal femme fatal. I kind of like this character. She is basically good but can be very mean, sadistic and vicious when she needs to. 

Another one is about ancient wars between aliens races and us humans getting caught in the middle. 

The one about a shapeshifting cat demon came from a very vivid dream. She had given a businessman a gift of power and he had abused it. Now she has to take it back and set right the wrongs he made. 

Selling and audiobooks

I have put so much stuff for sale that I got storytel for free for a month. I'm gonna finish the fantasy book series I have started, Wheel of time and Sword of truth. And some stephen king and dean koontz. 

Getting shit done

This past week I have re-sewn 2 dresses that didn't work for me in their original state. They are a lot better after some alterations. One dress, an orange dress with a big slit in the front, got cut off and I filled in the slit so I can use it outside. The other dress got a totally new top section. So from 2 dresses I barely use I got 2 I will use a lot. One summer dress and one autumn/winter dress. 

Now I'm in the process of clearing out my closet and selling what I don't use or can re-make. I really need to simplify my closet and stick to a few basic items I can mix and match as I please. Dresses are really good for that purpose because you get a top and a bottom in the same item and stockings/leggings are a lot cheaper than jeans. Leggings also last longer since like a lot of females I get those typical worn-out patches where the thighs meet.
